Studio what?

Our insights into the naming of Studio D YXE

Our team have been photographers for quite some time, but Studio D is brand new! So what is with the name, and why the change? Well we have a good reason for the naming of our Saskatoon studio. We have a photography studio that is just over 900 square feet. Second, instead of using our personal names, we wanted to emphasize our team approach to photography. This collective approach is the core of how we give great, reliable, customer service. With multiple photographers, we are able to be much more flexible for our clients.

Our studio is located in "The Two Twenty" in Riversdale. The Two Twenty is a collaborative space with many different businesses. Some work in common spaces, and some have their own private offices. Our studio happens to be in the basement. They labeled the second floor and main floor spaces as offices, and the basement as studios! You still with me? The fine folks at The Two Twenty labeled the studios with letters from A to G. We are in Studio D, and also have a storage space in Studio E. We can't take the credit, one of our great friends, Steve Thompson from Hardpressed Print studio came up with the idea. We are in studio d, and thought it's a unique enough name that even if we moved, the name can stick.

So this is where the YXE comes in. We want people to know we are proudly Saskatoon based in The Two Twenty, and we came up with the idea to tag along the YXE for web use and social media. It also rhymes.

So if you're in the neighbourhood, don't hesitate stopping by to Studio D YXE and say hi!
