Photography 101

We were lucky enough to have the grade 11 students from Saskatoon Christian School drop in for a crash course at our studio. They brought their own cameras, and we spent the time showing them how studio lighting works. We started with some simple demonstrations, and walked through camera settings. Everyone had a chance to capture a portrait, and were surprised at the differences from ambient light. We moved onto some more advanced techniques for capturing multiple people, and doing digital composites.

One by OneTaking turns, we switched our wireless trigger from camera to camera for each student to get a feel for studio lighting.

Thank you Studio D for having our students out, and sharing your knowledge with them. They loved the hands on experience. I'm a little worried about my job because they said you're a better teacher than I am! Thanks again.
